Review content:
Oh goodness. Where do I start? I listed my property with Zeitlan & Co. in November of 2010. Although the realtor rambled on, the 'special details' of the contract. I should have shooed him away and gone with someone I know and trust. Long and the short of it, after several months of ineffective communication and marketing, no 'bites' on the property, (even as a rental), and in my opinion really sloppy follow up (I have the e-mails to prove it!), I asked to take the property off the market so I could revamp it for the summer market. To my shock, I was told ""NO"". Apparently with Zeitlan, their contract is for one full year, and if you aren't satisfied with their service or their results, they will CHARGE YOU for severing your ties with them! I have bought and sold many homes through the years (I have TWO others under contract now), and have never worked with a more difficult group. Of course, I will alert all my friends and contacts about their poor customer service, which is so counter-intuitive in this market. So, now I am having to enlist an attorney. I would rather pay them money, than having to pay for ineffective and unprofessional representation from Zeitlan. Lesson learned, just don't do the same.......as busy as you are, read the fine print!
