Review content:
21 Palms a resort? What a joke. The wife and I new to the area pulled into This ""resort"" late at night after a 25 hr. drive and said, ahh what the heck, lets take a place. The owners seemed so friendly and congenial. Next morning we see the pool located next to a guy that has worked there for 30 years, with 30 years of Sanford and son junk collection stored outside at one end, a bunch of old junk and rusted equipment owned by 21 palms stored on the side, and a cow field at the other end. Then their is the pond, complete with 100% weeds! The laundry room is complete with non working machines. The office is plastered and piled high with junk, and very complete with mass amounts of fleas! The mail is sorted by the desk clerk first and then put into a box that shares your alphabetical name. If you have coupons, forget it. The owners nephew has dibs on all the cigarette coupons. They will never reach your box. We decided to stay until we learned the area and found a nice place. During this time, we met the nephew, he is the maintenance guy and a chronic liar. When you see him, he will be more than happy to talk to you, then feed you a line that a child can see through. One of the owners (wife) will TRY to manipulate the heck out of you when it comes to the all mighty buck, and also lies. If she wants something from you monetary wise, she will tell you she can get it cheaper than a Cambodian child worker would sell/do it for. I've never met someone so cheap in all my life. During my stay I've had the opportunity to visit several of the homes. EVERY one of them is trashed and all of them have lots of holes that were fixed by what looks like someone threw drywall compound at them from a distance and left it to dry. Every other repair is done with same quality of work. Those places are VERY trashed and dirty inside. They don't cut the grass until it is literally over two feet high. When I inquired about it, they said that's just when we do it. We were so dismayed by the way they kept the place, inside and out, the everyday conversation we would have with owner and nephew/maintenance guy and the nonsense lies that we packed up and chose a hotel room. If you're looking for a nice place to stay with more room than a hotel or to pull your RV into, do yourself a favor and go to Mouse Mountain just down the road. The only reason I gave one star is because they didn't have bed bugs... that I noticed!\r
