Our truck failed to start during a visit 12/25/2011 in Baton Rouge over the Christmas holidays after driving in from Tennessee. Tried to start it in the driveway and it spit/sputtered/back-fired etc all of a sudden. Knowing a bit about vehicles, changed the coil, crank position sensor, hall-effect module which is about 85% of the ignition system. Computer was showing NO error codes. Still did not start. Called Highland Car Care and told them I was sending the truck to them for repair. Never called me with diagnostic results. I called them and was told that ?I got no spark? which seemed funny cause I tested for spark and it was firing. Said I needed a new distributor, new coil module, new spark plugs (said they were fouled, they were only 6 months old), and the cost would be $600. I asked if that was the best price he could do which seemed a huge insult because he has been doing this for 20 years and the price is what it is was the response. Told him I would be back in town
