Kudos to these guys for opening a takeout place in a once-depressed area that is fighting to come back. They didn't seek out yuppified Logan Circle. They didn't open up on gentrified U Street. They came to Brentwood, and opened up on the Rhode Island Avenue/Route 1 corridor - which is part of a renaissance being pushed by Prince George's County. Ribs-N-Things is a takeout place, but though it's only been open a few months, the parking lot is usually full. The place is clean and the food is good, tasty and fresh. I can't attest to the ribs because I don't eat pork or beef, but the rib-eating customers seem to really like them. Ribs-N-Things also lets you pick out your own slab. I have had the barbecued chicken, which is moist and finger-lickin' good. Side dishes are good too....mashed potatoes, green beans, etc. So come on out and support these guys.....any new business always has an uphill battle and they deserve to be supported.
