Review content:
I have used three different lawn service companies on my yards through the years. And each has done a very competent and professional job. I have discontinued each one's services for different reasons but never because I was displeased with the results they provided to my lawn. \r In addition to them, I have received offers from other comapnies who do the same work trying to get my business. So, I check the reviews for each one as I consider its merits. And if I were to believe everything I read about these companies, they would not still be in business. You can only do so much wrong before word of mouth ruins you. And those negative reviews prevented me from sigining up with any of those companies seeking to improve my lawn. But then it occurred to me that there is a good chance that the only time most people write a review is when they are mad or have been done wrong by a company. What about the thousands of times those companies do very good jobs? People don't feel compelled to compliment anybody for some reason.\r Recently, I was made an offer to have my yard done by one of Tailor Made's competitors. I have been using Tailor Made for about seven years so I wasn't just going to jump ship for no reason. And the competitor's price was almost exactly the same so there was no advantage there. But as I read the reviews for this competitor, I found it hard to believe they could survive in this competetive business if they were really that incompetent and shady in their dealings. So, I decided to look for reviews for my current yard service, Tailor Made Lawns. And, lo and behold, there was only one review (Tailor Made is a small company) but it was totally negative. You can read that review here along with mine. And in reading that review, I see that someone has accused Tailor Made of providing services the customer did not order. I do not know the exact situation involved here but I have been offered additional services from Tailor Made in addition to the standard yard service they provide. But the offer was made by flyers sent to me through the mail or by flyers inserted with my bill after they completed their service on my yard. But they never, and I repeat, NEVER have put one thing on my yard unless I requested it. And if they did, I wouldn't pay for it. Simple! Their additional services include aerating, mulching, insecticides, etc.. \r My point is this; take these reviews with a grain of salt. Many people have an ax to grind when they write a review. Ex-employees come to mind as one of the most common. And, naturally, most companies will have a disagreement or two with a customer every now and then so expect those customers to write a bad review to vent their frustrations and get even. But satisfied customers, apparently, rarely give credit where credit is due. \r So I decided to change that. I have never worked for Tailor Made Lawns and I have never had a disagreement with them over their services. I am simply one of their customers who is totally satisfied with the service they provide and the results I see in my yard every day. It is currently mid-April and my yard is weed-free and the grass is dark green. It is one of only two yards like that in my neighborhood of approximately 70 houses. The other yard is done by one of Tailor Made's competitors. And that competitor has tons of negative reviews about them on the internet. But, yet, the neighbor who uses them tells me he is completely satisfied with their service and has never had one problem with them. \r So, in conclusion, I am extremely pleased with Tailor Made Lawns and what they have done for my yard. I have never had a problem of any sort whatsoever with them. But I suspect it is that way with all of the lawn services. They are all good!\r
