Dr. Franz a extracted a tooth of mine in November of 2008. I was told by the employee at the front desk that my insurance would cover everything 100%. A month later a bill arrived in my mail box. I was shocked & frustrated! When his office called me two times for my six month cleaning I did not return the calls. In early May 2009 a notice was sent to me. It said if did not pay the remaining balance of $50.00 in 10 days the bill would be sent to a collection agency. I called his office to dispute the bill. I said I would pay half of the bill as a compromise. I was told no! The office employee told me I needed to pay the full amount to have any future dental services rendered! I also had two fillings on my upper front teeth in November of 2008. I noticed a week or two after that I started to have sharp shooting pain in my upper jaw that was not real painful. It started to become more painful recently in April of 2009. I was going to tell Dr. Franz about this problem. Since he was not willing to compromise on the monies his office said at first I owed zero and then billed me later. I did not feel he would try to help me out! I plan to find a better dentist in Wichita. I did pay $30.00 dollars and I offered to pay half of the $71.00 and the front desk employee declined any more monies! During my time with her on the phone I was well mannered! I kept my cool. If Dr. Franz was willing to to make a compromise I told him my wife and I would keep him as our dentist. I tried to be fair a he was not willing to settle the matter for $31.50, half of the $71.00. His loss is two loyal clients & thousands of dollars of future dental work! I would not recommend him to anyone! Mark Howard Wichita, KS \r
