Review content:
Been with this salon since since they first opened in Lexington and go there till this day. Simply because I adore my hair stylist Heather, who's extremely professional and down to earth. In the very beginning, the receptionist, Jeff, was very sweet and flattered me with compliments (this is when their business was just starting off). This lasted shorter than the cheap hair dye he uses. Voce moved into a new location and the owner Mickey and Jeff took a 180. There has been 2 times out of 10+ yrs that Heather has canceled on me. That's no problem because it's life. Happens to the best of us. One day (keep in mind ONE day) I was running late (med student) and called to let them know. That's when Jeff got extremely rude and hung up on me (the manager). The next time he booked me and called a day earlier accusing me of not showing up. As I politely reminded him that I was booked for the following day he continued to show me attitude. And said they couldn't book me. I think he simply overbooked and wanted to pin it on someone else. I called bk later that week to set up an app and he tells me that they can no longer take me bc I have canceled too many times. I had NEVER canceled an appointment with them so I asked for the specific dates to which he was referring to. And he hung up. I was in absolute shock of how one could call themselves professional yet treat clients in that manner. I stopped going for a year and then went bk to Voce. I told my stylist about it and she was so sorry about the whole thing. Which none of it was her fault. She's still an outstanding stylist, and down to earth regardless of atmosphere there. As for Jeff, I still see him and pretend like as if I have no idea who he is. He's an uneducated man with a hateful bipolar personality disorder. You'd think as modern as they try to make that place look good they provide Jeff with clothes from the 21st century. Unless you're a rich housewife looking for a salon to fluff your ego (which itself isn't a grantee for every visit) I'd skip this place.
