We are also from Mudo USA and we are very disappointed about ranking promotions provided from there. Let’s talk about black belt test. Its cost is 10 times more than a regular ranking promotion ($500 vs. $50). Unfortunately, the test’s requirements are the same as the routine promotion. Children are not prepared thoroughly for the test; they do not have any preparation at all. Because of that, of course their performance are poor and they do not feel achievable after taking the test. Belts cannot be given based on attendance only, children has to earn the black belt. Students must learn the skills, must be shown and fixed for correct techniques in class, then during the test, demonstrate them well to earn their qualification. Since the cost is extremely high, we suggest necessary extra practices should be included for at least 6 months without extra fee. Then passing the black belt test will deserve to be an honor of wearing a black belt and worthy the high fee for the test.
