I love animals as if they were my children and therefore I go to Drs. Michaelson, Haase and (now their newest vet) Hayes. They aren't the closest vets to me, but I originally found them through a vet in another city who told me of their fine reputation which crossed state lines. It costs a little more but I feel so comfortable that I am not being rushed, put off, told a story, or made to feel that I did something wrong as I have with other vets in town. I do dog rescue and believe me I know the difference between how someone is treated here and how some of the higher volume clinics operate. Dr. Michaelson is a particular expert at orthopedic care for dogs and Dr. Haase is overall a brilliant vet. The staff is caring and intelligent. I don't think you'll find a better more personal veterinary practice in Baton Rouge.
