I am 23 and should be the easiest case for IVF, my husband and I immediately knew something was wrong when we tried getting pregnant at 22 and couldn't after trying and trying. With his being a career soldier we wanted to ensure that a piece of him would live on and chose to do something before he was shipped overseas. I have red hair and Dr. Littman really wanted me to donate my eggs to several couples to split my cycle. After praying long and hard we decided that was not what we wanted to do. When my egg retrieval came, I had a healthy and large number of eggs. By a seperate doctor told that there were about 28. When I came out of the procedure she said that all I had viable were 6! I didn't understand and were greatly concerned. After several days of them fertilizing our eggs, ready for implantation their embryologist told us that only 4 took due to the degradation of my husbands specimen.
