Review content:
If there were more places like Jinky's, we wouldnt want to move out of LA. This place actually has soul and character and feels like it belongs in Austin or Ann Arbor instead of the cheeseball Sunset strip....to balance out this slip through the Strip's portal in to culture and taste, there is an opposite force across the street - the socialite bottomfeeder, glossy, shallowness of 944 magazine's corporate offices. Directly in your field of outdoor vision across Sunset, 944 brandishes garish self promoting windows that smirk at you while you enjoy a slice of quaint LA breakfast at Jinkys. (It's actually beset on all sides as there is a reality show on E! about the tanning salon above Jinkys, and just yesterday some aging early 30s Survivor contestants from a few years ago were sitting around talking loudly about ""marketing their next project"" and then left abruptly wondering ""Should we go to the beach?"")\r
\r
On the positive side, we regret even writing about Jinky's because it is healthy, clean, cool without trying to be, and somewhat of an open secret that we hope never turns in to a Toast or The Griddle.\r
\r
This place gets very quiet after 1 PM. You can pick any table you want then.\r
\r
Also, pets are welcome outside and they will even bring you a bowl of water for your dog. We like Jinkys. It should be on one of those TV shows about ""we live here"" and there are ""locals secrets"".
Pros: Breakfast all day, no attitude
Cons: Some delusional ex reality show people eat here and I hate those kind of people
