Businiess name:  Phil's Fish Market And Eatery
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
Phil's Fish Market is a very unpretentious, somewhat funky cafeteria style fish house out in the dunes of Moss Landing, between Monterey and Watsonville off highway 1. It was actually a fish market at one point, selling whatever the boats brought in that day. Owner Phil was introduced to a cioppino sauce that he started using with the fish which became a huge hit with the locals. Over the years, the place became more restaurant than fish market, with a large menu of pasta and fish dishes, but it still maintains a very authentic old style coastal feel. Phils has gained a national reputation, almost solely by word of mouth, and has recently been featured on the Food Network. Dont expect candles and roses on your table, just great fish and lots of it. All dishes also include a large salad and all the bread you can eat.
