Our first experience with these folks was when my wife's older dog (she was like 16, and like a child to my wife, so this was a terrible time for her) had a couple stroke's, and eventually had to be put to sleep. The Doc was caring and extremely sensitive to my wife's emotional state, he was incredible, and my wife eventually got through losing her baby (you never really do, but as best as can be expected). This situation could have gone bad to worse very quickly, and because of he Doctors tone and method (just putting the dog to a state of unconsciousness, instead of actually administering the medicine that finally put her to sleep with my wife present) made the situation at least bearable. My wife never had to see her baby dead, and this was a huge factor in helping her heal emotionally. The cremated her, and gave the wife a very nice little tin, with a bow and a sweet prayer, that she keeps on her bed stand right next to her at night.
