Review content:
When we came to LA we thought we would have to try several churches, but we liked this one so much from our first visit that we stayed. \r \r A great congregation, it has grown into the thousands in the 20+ years Carol Anderson has been leading it. The music program is outstanding with a world-class choir and Craig Phillips on organ. They have child care during services, and the family-friendly environment is refreshing. This is an active parish where people actually seem to enjoy coming to service and participating in their many parish house programs. \r \r Their services are reverent and respectful but lively and you really get the feeling God is present. Being Episcopal, it was a lot like the Roman Catholic Church I was brought up with without the uptight nonsense. \r \r If you're in doubt - go to a service and decide for yourself. \r \r Pros: great choir and organist; nice traditional place of worship; great family attitude Cons: not much of an endowment; parish building is under major repair (2008)
