My family and I recently discovered this place, and I recommend it highly. This is where we take guests when they come to visit if they want a delicious but not fancy meal. The service is always friendly; in fact, one waiter remembered us three weeks after our last visit! The decor is tasteful and somewhat casual--I'd take a date to a corner table inside or on the patio, as these are the more private areas. The entrees are fresh and use interesting ingredients (forbidden rice, for example). One or two items on the menu change from time to time depending on what is available, but my favorite dishes are the heirloom tomato salad, the cod with miso broth, the tuna poke, and the burger. The desserts are pretty tasty, especially the peach trio. I happen to love the strawberry shortcake, but I can understand why one of the other reviewers wasn't crazy about it: it is a bit mild. In the end, I'd say this is a great place for a casual dinner with friends, especially if you're like me and you live in the area.
