I just wanted to write a thank you to the staff of Animal Medical Center of Orland Park, IL. I live in the Washington, DC area and last year we lost our cat of 20 years to kidney disease. Our house was quite lonely without her; she and my daughter had literally grown up together. So, I decided I wanted to get my husband a new kitten for Father's Day. I had unsuccessfully made attempts to adopt a calico kitten from the DC area, but something always seemed to throw a monkey wrench into my plans. While visiting family in Illinois during June, they brought me along to Animal Medical Center on a visit for one of their dogs. It was fate! This is where I met our little Winnie. A calico...and up for adoption. The helpful staff explained that their adoption kittens came usually from clients who found them, and the clinic ran tests to ensure the adoption kittens were healthy and updated vaccinations before the kittens could be adopted.
