We had a wonderful time here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We tent camped for 4 nights, went to Grandfather Mountain and hiked to McRae Peak one day, went to Hawksnest for the zipline course another day (real good time there too). Also went to see the original Mast General Store, it's close by also (Amazing place) Our tent site had Grandfather Mtn. to our back and the mountainside with Seven Devils and Hawksnest to our front. The mountainside was beautiful at night, with the lights shining like stars. It was hard to tell where the mountain stopped and the sky started. They have some tent sites that are down by the creek that are hidden if you want privacy. Good deal at $20.00/ night for a tent site for 2 adults, plus $3.00 for extra adults. For that you get showers, laundry facilities and on Saturday night they had a local band come in and play family friendly music for about an hour.
