We have been with Nationwide for many years with no problems. We have auto insurance on one vehicle (an '89 Buick) and renter's insurance. Over the past year they have become more trouble than they're worth. Our month payments were deducted from our account at one time but for whatever reason they didn't apply our payments properly and our insurance was cancelled. We didn't receive any notification and had no knowledge that we were without auto insurance for 2 months b/c the payment was deducted from our checking. We nearly lost our tags for a period b/c of this and that would have really put us in a bind as you can imagine. Do you think they intervened with the DMV on our behalf? No. My DH had to miss work to rectify the situation and we had to pay a $50 fee to the DMV. All we received from Nationwide was an apology.
