Review content:
Braxton Automotive is really conveniently located for me, so I took my XC-90 there for the 60,000 mile service. I was told it needed new brakes, both front and back, including rotors and pads. The quote I was given was $599 for the front and $569 for the rear. That seemed expensive, so I called around to get other quotes. I was given a quote of $453.45 for the front and $416.29 for the back from Volmaz in Decatur (plus there is a 10% discount coupon on line). Even Dyer & Dyer, the dealer in Chamblee, gave me a lower quote! There it is $590 for the front and $569 for the rear, plus a $50-off for each set of pads for a $100 discount! Plus, the service technician with whom I spoke (Sam ... nice guy) said that he wouldn't be surprised if I didn't need the rotors repaired. Braxton made it seem like they always replace rotors along with pads.\r

I sort of assumed that if I went with a non-dealer, I would get a better price. I was mistaken. So I will be taking my car elsewhere. Hec
