I had to bring my cat in at around midnight because he was in pain and very stiff when I tried to pick him up. He had struggled in the litter box three times prior to that so I assumed something was wrong with his being able to go to the bathroom. I could hear him howling in the back room at the vet so I felt terrible. The Vet came into the room where I was waiting and told me he was fat and that he needed to lose weight. She then drew a picture of a cat peeing and a cat pooping and asked me which one he was doing. She then said, "Well I could do an Xray but your cat is not helping me much and I don't know what I'd be looking for. I then took him back home to monitor him myself because nothing was being done. My cat then experienced an additional night and morning of pain so we brought him back. The vet miracualously knew what the problem was this time. His Urethra was obstructed. This is a very common problem fo rmale cats so I am not sure why an experienced vet would send a cat who c
