This was many years ago, but the same vets still practice here.\r
My 15 year old female cat was in the middle-stage of kidney disease/failure. The animal hospital I had gone to before wasn't answering all the questions (or I just wasn't listening, in denial).\r
So I took her to Crown Point to learn if anything else could be done to "help" her.\r
The vet (Dr. K) recommended doing a barium enema and xray of the entire digestive system. She said this was a simple procedure and wouldn't be hard on my cat.\r
It was a horrible experience. The procedure DID traumatize my cat, and the effects of the barium lasted several days, not hours like the doctor had said. I'll never let that be done to any animal again.\r
I'm sure the vet meant well, but I feel she underplayed the reprecussions of this procedure for the ill pet.\r
Now, in 2007, I have a friend who takes her 4 cats to Dr. K, only. She has one which is diabetic and has developed a cancerous growth on his mouth. Over the past year he has lost ov
