Looking for a fun setting for your next family photo? Pack up the family and head to the Botanic Gardens!\r \r My husband and I are both shutterbugs, so one Saturday in the spring we loaded up a wagon with 1 toddler, 2 cameras and accessories, a small cooler and headed off to the gardens. \r \r Parking is adequate, but not too close to the entrance. The building is very nice with a gift shop, snack shop and nice reception area where you pay your $5 admission and can buy fish and goose food. The bathrooms are also very good.\r \r When heading outside you will notice a variety of different areas that have structured gardens and many less formal areas. There is a rose garden, iris garden, Japanese garden and a nice wilderness type area. There is no shortage of nice trees to sit under and picnic or read a book.\r \r We found many nice locations to stage photos of my son: a rustic fence, by one of the several fountains, amid a bunch of blooms or on one of the many nice boulders.
