I was looking for a salon that has a personality, but that respects and works with yours - not one of those great big barn-like company salons that gives everyone the latest Victoria Beckham 'do! And I found it at Rinse - it's small and super friendly - none of the arrogance of other Rittenhouse-area salons. Michelle cut my hair, and I LOVE it! It's never looked better, she listened to everything that I said (I'm a classical musician so I need something cute but still classic - this was really important to me and she totally understood) and what's more is she actually explained to me how to style it - I can't be the only one who knows that this is music to a girls' ear! The atmosphere made me feel completely comfortable, which is important because it can be hard to say exactly what you want if you feel you're being herded through like cattle. The hair mousse that I got there is AWESOME - no more searching aimlessly for something that works in CVS! Being from the UK (where a good haircut can be very expensive), I didn't think Rinse was too expensive - my cut was $60, and I gave a healthy tip because I was so happy :)
Pros: Friendly atmosphere, amazing haircut that actually looks good the next day
Cons: That I can't afford to go get my hair done by them every day!
