I was leary of getting my hair cut by a "student", but these are students who are very near graduation, and they are surrounded by teachers who must inspect every client. I ended up getting one of the best haircuts ever. Granted, it did take a lot longer (about an hour for a layered cut, as opposed to 20 minutes at a normal salon), but the lady paid such close attention to detail. Can't beat the price - last time I was there it was only $4.00. They also offer other services (nails, facials, etc), although I haven't tried those. The place is always busy - I'd suggest calling for an appointment rather just walking in, especially if you bring your kids in for a cut.
PROS: Lowest prices for haircuts
CONS: Takes a lot longer than traditional salon
