Review content:
I am a student at the Royal Oak location and would not recommend this school to any perspective students. The teachers are VERY unprofessional. The instructors have been there too long, and have no supervision. They are not interested in teaching, only getting a paycheck. It is not uncommon that we sit for 2+ hours a night, with nothing to do (this happens both in the classroom and on the floor). The instructors on the floor 'cherry pick' who gets the clients, so the students with experience get the clients while the inexperienced students stay that way. There are students that are nearing graduation that have never done a men's haircut or highlights!! When I enrolled at this school I was told that once I got on the floor I would get tons of experience because they are so busy - I'm lucky to get 3 clients a WEEK! This is the only cosmetology school that I've gone to, so maybe it's this way everywhere - but I can't imagine the industry would survive with this type of lazyness.
