Hinsdale IL once had 3 great hardware stores. Now there is only one. Holland Hardware has been in Hinsdale since before the earth cooled. Hard to find but worth it if you need a lamp or light fixture repaired or restored, Or just good advice.\r
Harrison is an alley running north from W. 1st Street, between Washington and Lincoln streets in Hinsdale. There is no big sign so you have to look hard for it.\r
Prepare for a pleasant step back in time... and a real source of knowledge. Bring in that vintage 1920's porch light and have them re-wire it. You won't get the "blank stare" treatment. If you miss REAL hardware stores like I do, this is one of the best.
