Because of my anxiety I have seen a lot of therapists. Before Dr. Schachter, not one of them really helped. They would sit there and not say anything back to me. I wanted to know what to do about my problem, and they would say nothing. The anxiety also doesn?t make sense to me. I am very successful in a very competitive field, but I have always been nervous with new people or if I have to make a speech. I make quite a few of these, but each time, I am sick before it.\r \r I liked Dr. Schachter because he spoke English. He didn?t use any psychobabble, and after asking me what seemed like a million questions, he figured out what was going on and he explained it to me simply. He was smart. He understood what I was saying before I was finished saying it, and that was very refreshing compared to the others who would not have a clue what I was talking about.\r \r I had a form of social anxiety, and it was relatively easy to fix.
