Amerigas/San Juan Propane\r \r When I bought my house in the San Juans I naturally thought that I would go with the local propane company which I THOUGHT was San Juan Propane. I just received a letter from them telling me that I would now receive charges of $8.21 for a "Fuel Recovery Fee" PLUS $9.59 for a "HazMat & Safety Compliance Fee" which adds up to $17.80 for each delivery! If propane was $2.00/gallon I would be getting cheated out of 9 gallons!\r \r When I called Vander Yacht Propane I was informed that San Juan Propane is owned by AMERIGAS (NYSE: APU), the LARGEST propane company in the United States. And on top of that Vander Yacht only charges $3.50 for compliance and is genuinely LOCAL, as I talked with the owner there this week. Kind of a a no-brainer at this point.\r \r From the Amerigas website:\r "AmeriGas is the nation's largest propane company, serving over 2 million residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and motor fuel propane customers from over 1200 location
