I visited this store since I was interested in owning a bird. When I arrived, nobody asked me if I needed help. The employees were standing around talking. I finally asked someone to help me. They showed me an amazon parrot. They said this was a great family bird and would be fine with my 3 year old son. They said I could take the bird home that day with a feeding lesson (the bird still was taking formula). I have never done that before and did not feel comfortable. I was told "it's easy." I left wanting to do some more research. After surfing the web and checking out another bird store, I found that an amazon is probably the last bird I would want around my son. I do not recommend this place. I also learned from the other store that it is not good to take a bird on feedings, especially if I have never done it before. The bird could die if I fed it wrong. Do they have any education or love of animals at Birds Exotic, or are they just salespeople trying to make a quick commission? I wou
