Review content:
I find it very disturbing that one of my customers was treated poorly. I’ll take the blame for a less than perfect tune-up. This spring I found I needed emergency heart surgery for an aneurysm that was ready to burst. This laid me up for 3 months right at the height of bicycle season. My ace mechanic of many years, I’ll put up against any mechanic in the state, needed total knee reconstruction surgery: ACL PCL and cadaver tendons. He was in turn laid up for more than 3 months. If you had stepped up and told us, “hey this sucks, it an’t right,” we’d jump in make it right I would find out who did the job and educate them on the right way to tune up, or send them packing. You did the bicycle world a total disservice by not telling us. Sometimes it’s easier to pitch a fit, but you’re not helping yourself or I make my shop a better place. I’ve been at this for over 30 years, the only way I have lasted this long, is by doing my very best possible for our customers.
