Emergency care was too expensive, I went in after suspecting my aging Great Dane was bloating and left with a $600 bill. All they did was x-rays and medication to induce vomitting. We weren't there more than an hour or two. I had the EXACT same scenario play out last year and it was under $400 at Auburn Emergency. The vet was also VERY insistant on taking her into surgery despite the fact that she is a 10 year old Great Dane with heart problems and a few other health issues. Seemed to me that they were more about the money than the well being of my dog. I had no problem paying because I'd pay anything for her health but it gets to be an integrity issue which they clearly don't have.
