I've been using merry maids for about a year now, for cleaning my 3bdr house occasionally, like once a month -- usually 2 people come over, one lady, one guy. They don't talk much, just get down to work right away. The lady does the kitchen and bathrooms, and the guy does the vacuuming and dusting. If it's only 1 guy, then I have to help out with moving the furniture while the guy vacuums from under it.
Sometimes they come in larger numbers -- like last time 4 people showed up. So I didn't have to move any furniture myself -- they did everything on their own. They even did lemon polish on our cabinets, and the windows for free. We pay them $50 every time. But they don't do garage and they don't do the patio.
We're quite satisfied with their service, but it wouldn't take much for me to switch to some other service. For example, if somebody can do the garage and patio for me for the same amount, I would definitely switch.
