CARMAX NIGHTMARE BEGINS ONLY FOUR MONTHS AFTER A $14,000.00 PURCHASE INCLUDING FULL 36 MONTH "Bumper to Bumper" WARRANTY. BUYER BEWARE!!! We bought a 2001 6 cylinder Ford Mustang. within 4 months the differential threw a bolt creating havoc in the rear-end housing. CarMax told us they were back logged two weeks worth and that we should take it to "The nearest certified Ford service facility" as stated in their brochure and extended warranty instructions, which we did. CarMax after the fact refused to pay the full amount and DEMANDED WE PAY half of the diagnostic and repair costs despite their "BUMPER TO BUMPER" Warranty because they did not like the Ford certified repair facilities price. Corporate told me, and I quote "we are not under obligation to fulfil our warranty if we "feel" we are not getting a fair price." the consumer is left to gamble on whether the certified dealership authorized by CarMax is going to be accepted by them AFTER the fact of the work done!
