About a month ago my Rat Terrier Rocky was kicked by a horse and his leg was snapped in two. Frantically I called our regular vet ...only to be told that the dog would need an orthopedic surgeon..and they couldn't help me. Instead they referred me to the Aspetuck Animal Hospital. My great fear was that my beautiful little guy would lose his leg, as it was dangling by the skin. I cannot describe how horrible it feels to have an animal you love hurt so badly. Heartbreaking. The kind and professional demeanor of the doctors and staff was so reassuring that day. The surgeon was scheduled to be there the following day..and I left the dog feeling that he was in good hands. The quality of care my dog received was of the highest caliber. His surgery went very well. A small metal plate was attached to the bone to secure it. The incision was minute and immaculate. The dog came home with clear and concise post surgical instructions.Today I watched my little dog play in the yard. His
