My dog was hit by a car and thankfully had nothing broken but needed sutures, a drain tube and nursing care at home. We took her to a Vet in Hutchinson (since that is where we live) and will never go back.\r \r When it was time to have her sutures removed at her regular vet we noticed that there was some dying tissue. They brought her in back removed her sutures and never addressed the wound; told us she didn't need her cone on anymore and sent us on our way. My Wife even asked if her e-collar should stay on since she is licking at it.\r \r I sent a picture to my daughter (who works at Westonka Animal Hospital) and she asked Dr Craig and Jackie Piepkorn what should be done. Without charging us or asking us to come in and spend more money they advised us to clean the wound with a dilute antibacterial and fungal solution, continue to apply Silvadene cream to it. and keep her on antibiotics. The wound will take a long time to heal since it is so deep, and must wear her e-collar at all tim
