Review content:
I had booked appointments for my entire bridal party and me to have manicures, pedicures and updo's for my wedding, plus I was having my make-up done. I scheduled well in advance (thank goodness!) a 'trial run' for my hair and make-up. When I went in for the trial run I was informed that we were not going to be able to bring in any snacks on the day of the wedding but were welcome to purchase expensive trays of sandwiches from them. Also, they had remodeled and eliminated any sort of "private" room for the bridal party to hang out between services. The girl who did my "updo" ran out of time after an HOUR and I wound up with a half-pinned, half-curled MESS! She then sent me to the make-up person who didn't listen to a word I said about what colors worked for me. ("Dark lipstick makes my lips look small." 'Well let's just try it.... oh you're right.') ) I left looking like I wasn't even wearing makeup and with a halfway, pathetic attempt at an updo. At least the manager agreed to give me a discount on the price. I immediately cancelled all the appointments for me and my bridal party. Thank goodness I found out in time so it didn't ruin what turned out to be a magical wedding day! (Thanks to the fantastic stylists at Gaia Salon & Spa in Greendale who really saved the day!)
