This is one of the top 10 hotels in the california at least according ot conde nast traveler. We've been there twice and the service is great, but what really makes it terrific is the location. It is right in Pebble Beach and on a golf course that folks say looks like Troon or any other place in Scotland that are fabled for the views. The place is rambling and it can take 20 minutes to walk to your room, but the main areas are terrific and the food is awesome. The best part though is that there is a bagpiper out there at 4pm everyday to commemorate the day and you have an equal chance of seeing wild deer on the golf course as a bunch of traditional plaid attired golfers trying their hand at one of the best courses in the world.
