Businiess name:  Raleigh Park Dental Care - Mark Rodman, DDS

Review content:
I'll begin with the positive and say that Dr. Rodman is a good dentist - I can't say that I have any issues with his work. The problem, however, is that the work that he will lead you to believe is ""necessary"" may not be so. A previous reviewer indicated there were scare tactics employed to make you believe that there would be serious problems if you didn't have the work he recommended. That assessment was spot on. \r \r I went through 30+ years of my adult life addressing dental issues as necessary and being led to believe I was in pretty good shape dentally speaking...until I saw Dr. Rodman. On my initial visit he recommended virtually 75% of my teeth needed to be crowned because my fillings were ""old"" and I was as good as a ticking time bomb until my teeth began crumbling. Really?! The cost estimate was seriously over $10,000. \r \r I finally caved and had one of the procedures done having been convinced that my tooth couldn't be saved and it was only a matter of time before it simply broke off - of course I wasn't having any pain, discomfort or problems with the tooth. Hmmm... Once the services were completed and my insurance was billed he charged SIGNIFICANTLY in excess of what the insurance would allow - I have dual dental coverage and still had a balance because of the fees.\r \r So if you have deep pockets and want a dentist that will do work as a questionable preventative measure - and charge exorbitant prices in doing so - this is the place for you.
