Businiess name:  Jake & Earl's Dixie Barbeque
Review by:  Jessica F.
Review content:
My initial reason for going to Jake and Earl's was that it was one of the only restaurants on Moody Street that would take a reservation for a group of 19 people. When we arrived our tables were clearly marked and ready and we were greeted by a very friendly hostess. They have an extensive list of beers on tap and in bottles compared with other BBQ places. And their specialty drinks have cute names like "Poor Man's Martini," (Pabst in a paper bag) and "Trailer Park Martini" (vodka and whatever they have in the kitchen). The food was great and nobody left hungry. I had the pulled chicken platter and the chicken was cooked perfectly with the BBQ sauce on the side. There were a couple of mistakes with people's orders but they were remedied quickly and without argument. I recommend the Fried Twinkies with blueberry sauce for dessert. They were excellent! We were never rushed to leave and were encouraged to stay as long as we liked. They even let us bring a birthday cake with us. If you're looking for a fun place to eat, defintely check out Jake and Earl's. Not recommended for vegetarians or picky eaters. The menu consists of meat, meat, cornbread, and more meat. :)
