DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY!!! Mike Somma was hired to do a roof repair for me. When I called to tell him I was going to have him do the work, he said he was in Florida and would send his partner, who I since found out was a relative of his. His name was John Hotaling. John did the work and when I was getting an estimate for gutters from someone else they asked what was wrong with the roof. I went up myself and investigated and the hole that was supposed to be covered with interlocking board was not covered all the way and he used a piece of pine board. I lifted shingles and nails were half hammered in and bent over and he just left them like that. The drip edge he put on was not even over the flashing. I called Mike and he said he was still in Florida but promised me he would take care of my problem. That was 4 months ago. He has made several appointments with me and has never showed up. He only answers the phone if he doesn t recognize your number so you have to call from different numbers which is what I did. I was careful and had checked a reference he had given me. I have called that reference and he told me Mike is lying to me, that he never came back from Florida. He also doesn t live at the address on Rondack Rd. He left there a year ago. In fact there are three different addresses for him when you google his business. So all in all this guy is running a business from Florida and just sending his relatives to do #$%$ work. He also has 3 unanswered complaints from the BBB. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY!!!
I am going to have to take him to small claims court to get my $950 back.
