Review content:
After my experience, I'd never use this shoe maker again. When the sole of one of my new sneakers became unglued, he did a really good job; the sole & heel were fixed & the sneaker looked exactly as it had when I brought it in. I noticed the other sneaker’s heel & sole needed gluing. After he worked on the 2nd sneaker things were wrong: the fabric on the toe was worn away, the heel & sole weren’t attached properly, there was glue around the heel & sole, & a decorative piece of plastic wasn’t inserted into the side of the sneaker properly. The owner denied damaging the second sneaker & insisted that the heel & sole were attached properly. He tried to fix the decorative piece by cutting the rubber around it & forcing the piece into place but now that area of the sneaker looked horrible. Yet he said that it was fixed correctly.\r
I went back with both to show the owner the difference between the repairs. He denied he had done a horrible job fixing the second sneaker but offered to fix it. After he tried again he somewhat repaired the sole but 2 parts & heel were still not attached properly. The owner tried to glue these parts again but couldn’t. He refused to admit to his mistakes. I asked for money back for the 2nd sneaker & he refused & got angry. When I pointed out that only the 1st sneaker was fixed properly he got angrier. This store has been in the neighborhood for a long time but the owner is not the same as years ago. Do not trust this man with your shoes!
