I don't like looking for housewares. My best friend, however, is a furniture hound. I never know what she's going to come up with...and always wonder if her husband's eyes can roll any farther back in head as he asks her how much her latest find set him back.
So, we were scrutinzing downtown Oregon City the other day when she literally grabbed my sleeve and into Tom Busch's furniture store we went.
Immediately the feel here was different from Sear's or Ethan Allen. It felt like...well...HOME. Busch's offers both functional as well as elegant furniture that you don't have to cover in clear plastic. They had a wide variety of tastes reflecting diverse buyers and even offered a few re-sale pieces that were high-quality.
When it came time to leave for an appointment, I literally had to drag my friend out of there as she was making copious notes about her next aquistion. Whether or not I like shopping for furniture, this is one place I know I'll be sent back to by someone who does!
