Review content:
Let's start with the good: The staff seem very nice and competent, and I think the management is trying to do a good job. Also, the price of a movie is very reasonable at Shadybrook. Cleanliness is better than average, and seats are worn but reasonably comfortable.
The not-so-good: The actual movie-watching experience is very sub-par. Sometimes, the picture will actually shake on the screen due to worn-out (or misadjusted) equipment. Audio is barely loud enough and lacks clarity, which forces you to strain to understand crucial dialogue. In short, many people—myself included—can enjoy a better movie experience from their living room couches.
$8 for a Friday night movie ticket is attractive...but I won't be back until they can provide a quality viewing experience.
