My septic tank overflowed and it turns out that the dry well, which was 20 years old, had failed causing the backup. The plumber and a "septic tank expert" both told me I needed to replace the dry well. The estimated cost was around $12,000 but we also would have to remove much landscaping and replace it for additional expense. I installed the aerostream unit about 6 weeks ago. Within 48 hours the sewage smell was gone from the septic tank and in the last 2 weeks all the standing water in the pipe that goes down the drywell has receded completely. I am amazed how well this works and I am sorry that the plumber and other experts did not tell me about this solution and I had to find it on my own. The service has been excellent from the company re. any questions. I recommend this product and solution without reservation.
