Our house was built in 1976 and we moved in 1994. Even though our septic system passed it’s supposed rigid inspection when we bought the house I knew we had septic trouble when we were trying to install our swimming pool six months later. As part of the permit process for the pool the local health department had to stop by and bless our install location and at that time there were already traces of dried effluent in the vent pipe out in the drain field. Every year the drain field got a little soggy after a rain or winter thaw but the last couple of years it was getting soft and soggy all of the time (Sometimes so soft that I was afraid to even cut the grass around it). If I looked in the drain field vent pipe the water level was almost up to ground level. I looked at having the drain field replaced but at a cost of ~$20,000 I was quoted for a new mound system I just really didn’t know what to do and really didn’t trust the contractors who were giving me the quotes. After much thought and research I decided to try the Aero-Stream remediator. Installation was straight forward and their phone support was able to help me with the few questions that I had while performing the install and during the early remediation process. My results did not happen over night – In fact the water level rose a bit after the remediator was installed and I even had some effluent show up on top of the soil at times but talking to Aero Stream tech support they thought it was the biomat breaking down and clogging the system. They told me to give it a little more time and it should correct itself and they were right. Suddenly one day after four months the water level in the vent pipe dropped three inches and now after ten months the level in the pipe is down almost twelve inches even with all of the snow that has melted here in the last month. The soil around my drain field is drying up and it now is looking better than it has for the last five years. I am thinking in eighteen months the system will have my septic back to an almost new level. This product really delivered for me and bought me years of new life for my septic system. With their one year satisfaction warranty you can’t go wrong giving it a try – Saved me $19,000. I am very happy !!!
