\r \r I didn't live there, but I did apply a couple weeks ago.\r \r I went there on a Friday afternoon after calling to see if the townhouse I wanted was still available. It was. So I turned in my application and gave them a check for the application fee. On the way home I got a phone call from one of the leasing officers saying that another leasing officer had already reserved the townhouse for another person earlier that day. The only other option was a more expensive townhouse. I asked if she could ask her manager if I could get it for the same rate as the other one I originally applied for. She said she would have to ask Monday, because the manager had already left that day. I waited until Monday. After no call from the office I called them. They in no way tried to make amends for luring me into applying under false pretenses and refused to give me my application fee back. They said they would keep my application for 30 days, but I told them I had no interest in living in a community where the leasing office is incompetent and duplicitous.\r \r TL;DR: Applied for a townhouse under false pretenses. Office refused to give me my money back when they had already leased it out to someone else.
