Don't trust the documents they give you re: complications for a colonoscopy. Dr. Fares Hakim, a member of this group nearly killed my husband. He went in due to a few days of bleeding from the rectum. Although it turned out to be an internal hemmorhoid, this doctor took it on himself to remove unneccessary polyps. He got the biggest ones plus some smaller ones that caused him to puncture the intestinal wall, and caused my husbands colon to completely collapse where he had to have ER surgery. Some of his intestines had to be removed, and he'll never be the same. There is so much risk for infection where you can die after this kind of repair, and that isn't covered in the consent forms you sign before the colonoscopy.\r Dr.Hakim just wanted to rack up a larger bill, so he removed more of the polyps than what was neccessary. He didn't take in account some of these weren't going to hurt his colon, and they could have gotten bigger so they could be removed safely at another time. My hubby nearly lost his life. So BEWARE
