Businiess name:  Evergreen Montessori School

Evergreen’s got some good qualities, just not enough to pay money to send your child there. You might end up with a good teacher for your kid or you might end up with one that always shows up late, leaves early, and is texting in the middle of a lesson they’re supposed to be giving your kid. You won’t know for sure which teacher your kid will end up with until you’ve signed that yearlong contract. If you like gambling, I think a trip to Tunica is money better spent. There’s a one hundred percent chance your child’s vocabulary will grow, but some of those words will be profanities heard from the “directress” and other teachers. There are also some serious behavior issues that are not adequately addressed at this school. There is a child that screams, cusses, and throws stuff; your child’s needs will have to wait while they appease this child. No consistent behavior plan is ever implemented and the parent is not held accountable, but since the money’s coming in everyone just has to deal. Will your child be supervised? Sometimes yes, but there will be times you’ll find a class full of kids going nuts and no adult in sight, and you may have to wait a while before one returns. But the teachers are around somewhere, gossiping, they’re close enough to hear if a child screams. It’s not quite like Lord of the Flies, but sometimes it’s pretty close. Just show up a few random times and see for yourself before you sign away 7 grand. Ask the parents how long there child’s been there. Unless the parent is on the payroll the odds are they haven’t been there long. Ask them if they plan to stay next year and watch there eyes dart nervously.
