Review content:
A Zagat recommended restaurant, Mara's Homemade *the* place to go for Southern cuisine in NYC. Mara's Homemade was listed in USA Today as "a New Orleans restaurant outside New Orleans to enjoy the flavors of the region" and one taste of their dishes will leave you understanding why.
Simply put, the food is more than divine. The Chicken Fried Steak is always amazing and the Arkansas BBQ is grilled to perfection. If you feel like splurging, Mara's homemade crab cakes or the Crawfish Mara are well worth your money.
And, if after your meal you still have some room to fill, the dark chocolate soufflé is a delicious dessert to pile on your plate.
Still, you can't go wrong with any of Mara's dishes. So, if you love Southern food or simply want to try the most authentic Southern cooking you can up North, Mara's homemade is where you should go.
