I contacted Sinus Dynamics regarding their treatment for chronic sinusitis using nebulizers. I made an appointment with my doctor to have her write a prescription, driving an hour and a half. After a week I called the company and was informed that the doctor checked irrigation instead of nebulizer treatment. I asked them why they even put it on the same form? I was told that only one of the three medications prescribed were covered by my insurance.
After a little prodding, I found out that my insurance does Not cover their nebulizer either.
It is deceptive selling, I believe, and I am very irritated.
If you need their services, pin them down as to whether your insurance covers their services at the very beginning. I am sure they know wether it will be covered due to past experience. It will save you a great deal of hassle if you are not a rich American and don't want to pay for the treatment out of pocket
